Alice Hahn / nee Edgar
Born in 1891 ... Died 27th February 1968
This remembrance is sponsored by her Great-Grandson.
This is the only picture I have of her:

She is shown here 'enjoying herself' at her Grandaughter's 21st birthday party.
A word or two:
Alice was a colorful character and liked by everyone. I always remember that her house in Enfield seemed so far away that I would try to avoid going whenever my family went to visit her. Whether it was because I hated sitting in the back of the car while we seemed to drive forever, or whether it was because I preferred to be by myself as often as possible, I don't know, but I always tried to avoid going. I know this was a disappointment to her because my parents would always say she was sorry that I never came with them.
But, I always remember when I did go that it would be fun sitting in the corner of her front room and watching television on what must have been one of the first TV sets ever made.
Apparantly, she was a barmaid at a local tavern somewhere in London in the early 1900's, and it was here she met her future husband Ludwig. They married at the Woolwich Registry office on the 20th December 1906.
She and Ludwig raised four children together before he died in 1954. For the next fourteen years, she lived alone, but was loved and visited often by her close family members. She died in 1968. My only regret is that I didn't visit her more often while I had the chance. If I had of, this memorial would be a lot more complete and fitting.
